CONRAD KRIEG - Altenhasslau

Conrad Krieg was a Sergeant in the Hessen-Hanau Artillery Regiment who were members of the British forces in North America during the American Revolution. The Hessen-Hanau Regiment was associated with the troops from Braunschweig (Brusnwick) and were sent to America and Canada under various treaties with Great Britain.

I have no information about whether Conrad Krieg settled in America (as so many of his contemporaries did) or whether he returned to Altenhasslau.

Conrad Krieg was mentioned in historical documents as Bürgermeister (Mayor) of Altenhasslau in 1811. This may be a different Conrad Krieg.
